Boring Old Premier League, is it Time for Beach Soccer?

The Premier League is held in high esteem as the pinnacle of sporting excellence, with excitement and drama coming from every angle. But why is it so boring and predictable?
If watching Arsenal pass sideways between Saliba and Gabriel is what floats your boat, then I would definitely recommend watching the Premier League.

In the 23/24 season, 10 live matches had a UK audience of over 3 million and 59% of the total UK audience watched live matches or highlights on the BBC.
Over 3 million people probably had a snooze during these matches with the robotic, monotonous football being displayed weekly. Games have become predictable and the overcomplication of tactics means games are often a stalemate.
Do the people of the UK not deserve more engaging entertainment, or are we brainwashed into habitually watching this slop until it is time for bed?
The team that should be the most entertaining in theory have had the most backward passes this season so far. How can Manchester City, who have all the talent, money and investment in the world be at the top of the table with 2,905 backward passes?
All the freedom and flair have been coached out of players at the top level, with Grealish making more backward passes than drinks consumed when Manchester City won the Treble in 2023.
This is why I am making the proposition that Beach Soccer should be put on TV just as much as the Premier League.
Beach Soccer is a much higher-paced and intense sport, it relies on tricks, flair and acrobatics something that we do not often see in the modern game any more. The athleticism and flexibility that are displayed in this game are otherworldly.
Despite its thrilling nature the sport receives little to no media attention as the big broadcasting services such as Sky and BT do not have the rights to it, but is this something they should look at doing?
In the 2024 Beach Soccer World Cup competition, there was a total of 37 goals scored by a bicycle kick, amounting to 17% of the goals scored in the competition.

Multiple different competitions take place monthly meaning the entertainment does not stop!
Surely seeing this on the screen is more entertaining than watching teams pass sideways and backward for 90 minutes.
Not only would this be beneficial for sports enthusiasts, but also for the sport of Beach Soccer as a whole, as it will provide greater publicity and reach.
This will allow the sport to grow and gain attention through media outlets and hopefully inspire the next generation of Beach Soccer players.
So this is my call for sporting broadcasting services such as Sky, Amazon and TNT to consider letting go of the snooze fest, which is most Premier League matches and consider showing the captivating sport which is Beach Soccer.
